Fighting Dachshunds Suffer 5-4 Loss to Red Pandas
|
The Sioux Falls Red Pandas picked up a win at The Bamboo Forest, taking down the Ellenburg Fighting Dachshunds, 5-4. Starting pitcher Dave Newman was a big reason why. Newman picked up the win for Sioux Falls, going 7 innings. He gave up 4 runs on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 1-0. Ellenburg now is 3-3.
In the bottom of the seventh, Sioux Falls shortstop Danny Hensley hit a run-scoring single to left field. The clutch hit made it, 4-3, Red Pandas.
"I was a little disappointed," said Ellenburg manager Justin Broadfoot. "We could've and should've scored more runs."
