The Hollywood Shredders picked up a win at The Hollywood Bowl, knocking off the New Orleans Voodoo, 5-2. Starting pitcher Shem Burkholder played a key role in the triumph. The win puts Hollywood at 10-15.

The game could have flipped with one out in the top of the seventh. But Shem Burkholder made what his manager later called "an A-plus pitch." With runners on 1st and 3rd and New Orleans trailing 5-2, Burkholder threw a cutter to Obke Veenman and Veenman popped out.
