The 2050 season is getting uglier for Montana.

Montana got a terrific game from center fielder Alonso Romo. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Toledo, 8-6. Romo went 1-2 with a home run and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Alfonso Caballero, the winner, improved to 3-1. He held the Pandas to 5 runs on 3 hits over 6 innings, while striking out 10 and walking 2. The save went to Claude Richardson, his 6th this season.

Meester Gobbles-Rooster had a clutch at-bat with no one out in the bottom of the sixth for the Stingers. Coming up with runners on 2nd and 3rd and Toledo trailing 4-3, he hit a 2-run single.

"We bring energy to every game," said losing manager Andrew Schupick. "But it's got to translate into wins."

The slumping Pandas have dropped 7 in a row.
