Clutch Hitting Delivers Win for Patriots
The Boston Patriots defeated the Long Island Lighthouse, 7-5, at The Lighthouse today. Leading the charge for Boston was third baseman Carlos Rivera. He was 3-4 with a home run, a triple, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 2. Boston is now 61-46, 3 games up in the Silver League.

Rivera had a game-changing home run in the top of the ninth. On a first pitch changeup from Miguel Rodríguez, he banged a 2-run home run to left, giving the Patriots a 7-5 lead. It was the 8th home run of the year for Rivera.

"If we play well, we'll win our share of games," said Rivera. "The only team that can beat us is us."
