Lakers Zip Past Rocketeers, 6-0
|
Pitcher Mario Gonzáles was sensational for the Echo Park Lakers in his team's 6-0 triumph over the Seattle Rocketeers. Gonzáles picked up the win, and it was well-earned. Jason O'Rourke was credited with the save for Echo Park, his 3rd of the season. Echo Park now has a 3-game win streak.
The Lakers got a big at-bat from shortstop Ger Jobse. For the game, Jobse went 1-3 with a triple. In the bottom of the third, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring triple. His 1st triple of the season gave Echo Park a 1-0 lead.
"We're feeling good in this clubhouse right now after that one," Gonzáles told the Echo Park Herald.
