The Pittsburgh Kingfishers got a magnificent effort from pitcher Todd Hunter, who kept Las Vegas hitters in check en route to a 3-1 Kingfishers win at Pittsburgh Grounds. Hunter got the win, improving to 6-7. He allowed 5 hits and walked 0 over 8 innings. Hunter allowed 1 run. Pittsburgh is now 51-42, while Las Vegas is 47-46.
In the bottom of the second, Wing-kit Ou-yang hit a 2-run double. The 15th double of the season for the Pittsburgh center fielder put the Kingfishers on top, 2-0.
Ou-yang said the team appreciates the support from the fans. "I'm glad we could reward them with a good win," he said after the game.
