He may have less experience than most of his USSL Mexican Summer League peers, but that didn't slow Natalino Desidrio down at all in 2049.

At the age of 17, the MSL Boston catcher has been named the winner of the USSL Mexican Summer League Most Valuable Player Award.

He had a .435 batting average and a .562 on-base percentage this year. In 48 games he piled up 87 hits, 19 doubles, 1 triple, 15 home runs, 98 RBIs and 77 runs scored.

"I'm blown away by the season I was able to put together," he said. "I'm looking forward to trying to do it all again next year."

He received 9 first place votes out of a possible 10. Dale McKinney of the MSL Colorado Billy Goats finished second in voting with 1 first place vote, while Brian Palmer of the MSL Boston Patriots finished third.
