Hot Bat Cooled, Hernández Hitless Against Lakers Sunday, August 8th , 2049 The hitting streak that MSL Detroit right fielder Alfredo Hernández had kept going for 20 games was ended today by the MSL Echo Park Lakers. Hernández was stymied over 4 at-bats today, but the rest of his team picked him up, taking the 6-5 victory at MSL Detroit Ballpark. "Hitting streaks come and go," Hernández said. "It did put a little pressure on me. It's hard to be natural at the plate with something like that always in the back of your mind. If it had to end, I'm glad it was in a win." For the season Hernández is batting .373 with 62 hits and no home runs. He has scored 28 times and batted in 33. |
