Rodríguez Gets 5 Hits Tuesday, July 6th , 2049 Even as a kid, Francisco Rodríguez said his coaches told him the key to hitting was making contact, and letting everything else flow from there. At MSL Ft. Worth Ballpark today, Rodríguez showed how well he learned that lesson. The 18-year-old right fielder had 5 hits in 6 at-bats for the MSL St Louis Coeur, helping his team knock off the MSL Ft. Worth Cattlemen by a score of 17-11. "They always said, just keep your eye on the ball, don't overswing, make contact and you never know what will happen," he said. "That's all I did today." Francisco Rodríguez singled in the 1st, grounded out in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 8th and walked in the 9th.
