Hartman's Hit Streak Reaches 25 Games Monday, August 9th , 2049 With 1 hit at MSL San Mateo Ballpark today, Gregory Hartman added another game to his hitting streak -- the MSL Northern Virginia left fielder has now hit safely for 25 games in a row. But the hitting feat wasn't enough for the Rainbow Mermaids today, as they fell, 17-10, to the MSL San Mateo Dirty Reds. "Frankly, I don't care about hits," MSL San Mateo manager José López said later. "I'll let him get 4 hits in 4 at-bats if it means we get a win." Gregory Hartman grounded out in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, walked in the 4th, singled in the 6th and flied out in the 8th. This year Hartman is hitting .345 with 4 home runs. |
