León Ups Hit Streak to 20 Consecutive Games Wednesday, July 14th , 2049 António León has been on a tear for several weeks, and his hitting streak just keeps getting longer. The 18-year-old MSL San Mateo Dirty Reds second baseman extended his streak today to 20 games, going 1-for-6 as MSL San Mateo got the best of the MSL Greenville 84s at MSL Greenville Ballpark, 10-1. "António has been playing real well lately and we're proud of him," Dirty Reds manager José López said. António León grounded out in the 1st, grounded out in the 4th, grounded out in the 5th, grounded out in the 6th, singled in the 8th and struck out in the 9th. This year León is batting .388 with no home runs and 14 RBIs. |
