5-Hit Barrage by D'antonio Saturday, June 19th , 2049 It's not something you read about in the sports pages every day -- a 5-for-6 day. For many, it might come around only once in a career -- and for Wendell D'antonio, it came around today. The 18-year-old right fielder scattered hits all over Foresters Stadium to pace the Moose Jaw Canucks to a 11-10 victory over the Ballard Beavers. Ballard skipper Jorge Baca told reporters in the press room that "D'antonio deserves a hat-tip." "He hit some good pitches against us," he said. "In fact, according to our scouting reports, D'antonio hit several that he is not supposed to be able to hit." Wendell D'antonio hit an RBI single in the 2nd, grounded out in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, singled in the 8th, hit an RBI single in the 9th and hit an RBI single in the 11th.
