Shockers Barnett Gone for Year Wednesday, August 25th , 2049 The doctors have spoken and Jayden Barnett of the Surprise Shockers didn't like what he heard. The 19-year-old reliever is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Barnett sustained his season-ending injury during the Northwest Territory Beavers game yesterday at Beaver Town. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Surprise medical staff reported Barnett had a torn rotator cuff and would be absent from the lineup for at least 4 months. This year his season stats show Barnett has no saves in 11 relief appearances with a 0-1 record and 5.95 ERA. |
