Big Day with Bat: Pretty 5-for-7 Tuesday, August 24th , 2049 It seemed that Maine second baseman Nathan Pretty could do no wrong as the Sea Dogs KO'd the Canonniers de Quebec, 21-6 today. Pretty rapped out 5 hits in 7 at-bats and seemed to know which pitches Canonniers de Quebec hurlers were throwing. "I think the Sea Dogs were stealing signs," growled one unhappy Canonniers de Quebec fan after the game. "I just felt good today. I saw the ball well and just wanted to make good contact and put the ball in play," said the jubilant Pretty in the postgame press interview. Nathan Pretty struck out in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, hit a two-run single in the 4th, singled in the 6th, hit a two-run double in the 7th, singled in the 8th and hit a two-run single in the 9th.
