Big Bat Pays Off, Téllez Player of the Week Monday, July 26th , 2049 The hottest bat of the week belonged to Surprise first baseman José Téllez. He went on a rampage last week against 3A- hurlers and rapped out 8 hits in 14 at-bats for a .571 average while hitting 3 home runs, driving in 4 runs and scoring 6 runs -- numbers quite worthy of the M3L Low A Player of the Week trophy. Téllez was honored today at a press conference. This year Téllez is hitting .286, produced 34 RBIs and 8 home runs, scored 27 times and gotten on base at a .383 rate. |
