Season Possibly Over for Sae-wan Chong Saturday, July 10th , 2049 The doctors have spoken and Sae-wan Chong of the Ballard Beavers didn't like what he heard. The 19-year-old starting pitcher is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Chong sustained his season-ending injury during the Capital Hill Interns game yesterday at The Beaver Dam. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Ballard medical staff reported Chong had radial nerve compression and would be absent from the lineup for at least 4-5 months. This season Chong has gone 3-4 with an ERA of 4.13, posting 67 strikeouts in 65.1 innings. |
