Yi Stretches Hit String to 20 Thursday, September 2nd , 2049 The Beaumont Crossbeaus stopped the Memphis Music today 7-6 and O-min Yi collected a base hit yet again. The Beaumont second baseman finished with 2 hits to run his consecutive-game hitting streak to 20. "I want to get a hit every time up," a visibly excited Yi told reporters after the contest. "I want to get a hit every game I play. Right now, I feel like I could take this streak to 100 games." O-min Yi singled in the 2nd, grounded out in the 4th, singled in the 6th, grounded out in the 8th and flied out in the 9th. Thus far this year Yi has hit .269 with 9 home runs and 34 RBIs. |
