McClain Week's Best Player Monday, August 16th , 2049 So far in his young career, Jim McClain has kept a low profile, but after his performance at the plate last week, he attracted the notice of the rest of the USSL Double A in a big way as he was named the Player of the Week today for his efforts. The 25-year-old St. Petersburg Thunder left fielder hit at a torrid .467 clip as he collected 7 hits in 15 at-bats, 3 home runs, 6 RBIs and 6 runs scored. McClain is swinging at a .364 pace on the year with 16 home runs, 44 RBIs and 43 runs scored. He has played in 58 games. |
