Gonzáles on Fire, Named Player of the Week Monday, July 26th , 2049 Félix Gonzáles burst onto the USSL Double A stage in a big way last week. This promising rookie catcher for Barton Springs garnered everyone's respect by putting up some remarkable numbers and picking up the Player of the Week trophy. The 26-year-old haunted opposing pitchers hitting .545 (6-for-11) with 2 home runs and 6 RBIs last week. So far this season Gonzáles is batting .362 with 7 home runs, 22 RBIs and 9 runs scored. He has 25 hits in 69 at-bats, 6 walks and a .436 OBP. Gonzáles has played in 23 games. |
