Hawkins Tops 3AA Best Player List Friday, October 8th , 2049 Bob Hawkins took M3L Double A by storm this year, and he did it all at the age of 23. For his spectacular campaign, the Lancaster Farmers star has been named the 2049 M3L Double A Outstanding Hitter Award recipient. "To be considered amongst the best in the league is overwhelming," said the first baseman. On the season he compiled a .281 batting average to go with a .350 on-base percentage. The native of Alorton, Illinois also added 22 doubles, 1 triple, 37 home runs, 88 RBIs and 73 runs scored. He received 8 first place votes out of a possible 12. Jorge Gonzáles of the Lancaster Farmers finished second in voting with 2 first place votes, while Hambleton Oliver of the Westwood Sixshooters finished third with 1 first place vote.
