Younger Suspended, Out 3 Games Tuesday, August 17th , 2049 Marquette center fielder Steve Younger was ejected in the game between the Miners and Fur Traders for letting loose a profanity-laced tirade against the home plate umpire after some calls didn't go the way he wanted. Younger was just as incensed after the game. "These guys are a joke. How can people expect to take this game seriously when you have games like this?" Younger said in the locker room after the game. Now Younger must face the consequences of this actions. League officials released this brief statement to the media: "We are regretful that Younger has taken this to the level that it has reached. The league will not tolerate this type of conduct. Due to his actions during and after the game, the league is suspending him for 3 games." Younger is presently batting .196 with 3 home runs, 18 runs scored and 18 RBIs. His OBP is .303. |
