Kirkpatrick Earns 3AA Player of the Week Monday, June 28th , 2049 23-year-old Austin Kirkpatrick made a few Ottawa headlines during this past week as the rookie right fielder proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and M3L Double A officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 12 hits in 28 at-bats to put up a .429 average. Kirkpatrick collected 4 home runs, 13 RBIs and scored 7 runs. In 36 games Kirkpatrick is hitting .361 this season with 52 hits, 6 home runs, 32 RBIs, 17 walks, .437 OBP and has scored 21 runs. |
