Nobles Celebrate Wild Card Win Tuesday, September 14th , 2049 For the Bakersfield Nobles, it's not how you start, but how you finish. That's the mantra the team is following after today qualifying for the playoffs. "We may be going into the playoffs as a wild card team, but we plan to finish the playoffs as champions," said reliever Mitch Henley. "There's no shortage of confidence from guys in our clubhouse." With a record of 60-37, there will of course be teams with better track records in the postseason. But team manager Jesús Román said his club has "infinite optimism" that they can win the franchise's 14th USSL Triple A championship. |
