Cruz Holds Austin Hitless Sunday, September 5th , 2049 Pedro Cruz of the Baton Rouge Brass was the King of the Hill today at Mamba Park. The Baton Rouge starter dominated the Austin Black Mambas, giving up zero hits in his 2-0 victory. "The toughest part was the last couple of innings," Cruz recounted after the game. "You know you have a no-hitter going, and so does everybody in the ballpark. That was the hard part, keeping focused and concentrating while your heart is pounding." Cruz recorded 16 strikeouts and 3 walks in the game. Thus far this season Cruz has posted a 4-1 record, started 9 games, struck out 89 batters in 63.1 innings and compiled a 2.98 ERA.
