Newman Crafts 5-0 Shutout Wednesday, September 15th , 2049 Dave Newman kept the opposition off the scoreboard and the Sioux Falls Red Pandas were all smiles after winning 5-0 against the Nolensville Knights at The Bamboo Forest today. The right-handed Newman gave up no runs in his start, permitted 6 hits and had 5 strikeouts. "If there was a stat for 'team shutout,' this would be it," Newman said later. "My catcher called a great game, guys delivered at the plate and when I messed something up the guys behind me were where they needed to be." Newman has made 13 starts, tossed 74.2 innings, struck out 38 batters and walked 25. His record is 5-7 with a 5.30 ERA and he has limited other teams to a .295 batting average.
