Big Day for Gerkis: Swats 5 Hits Thursday, August 19th , 2049 It was a parade of hits for Izaak Gerkis of the Monongahela Monsters at Whips Ballpark today. Connecting almost every time he went to the plate, Gerkis finished the day with a total of 5 hits in 6 at-bats. His strong individual effort propelled the Monsters to a 15-1 victory. "Gerkis was really good and we were really bad," groaned ParksNRec manager Juan Alvarado. "Next time he's that hot, we'll just walk him."
