Hitting Streak Still Alive for Umlaut Monday, July 19th , 2049 Golden Cranes second baseman Zed Umlaut has extended his hitting streak to 20 games. He went 1-for-3 in today's game against the Vermont Lake Monsters. Santa Barbara won the ballgame 4-1. "Got a hit and a win," he said later. "OK, I'll take it." Zed Umlaut walked in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd, singled in the 5th and struck out in the 7th. So far on the season Umlaut is hitting .322 with 4 home runs, 17 RBIs and 15 runs scored. He has 37 hits and played in 28 games. |
