Barbaran and Gonzáles Brawl, League Suspends Them Saturday, July 3rd , 2049 After an intense confrontation, both the Knights Grover Barbaran and the Oaks Jorge Gonzáles were handed their punishments today. The league commissioner's office issued suspensions for an on-the-field conflict that occurred at a recent Kingston Township-Oakland game. Grover Barbaran will miss 4 games, while Jorge Gonzáles was suspended for 6 games. "Sometimes we go too far and have to pay the consequences," Grover Barbaran commented later. "Hopefully cooler heads will prevail the next time we play." Barbaran is currently hitting at a .304 pace with 1 home run, 12 RBIs and has scored 15 times. This season Gonzáles has compiled a 1-3 mark with a 4.63 ERA. |
