United States Silver League Picks Best Rookie Wednesday, November 3rd , 2049 Robert Rodríguez made quite a name for himself in his rookie year. The Long Island center fielder brought home the 2049 Newcomer of the Year Award today in recognition of his performance. Rodríguez played in 102 games, batted .254, collected 100 hits in 393 at-bats, 15 home runs, 63 RBIs, 40 runs scored, 13 walks and compiled a .287 OBP. Jay Harris of the Colorado Billy Goats finished second in voting, while José Martínez of the Detroit Elite finished third. |
