Harris Hits for the Cycle

John Harris showed off his speed, his power and his plate discipline today at The Riot Zone, putting together all facets of his game to hit for the cycle in the Laredo win.
The 21-year-old shortstop went 4-for-5, collecting 1 single, 1 double, 1 triple and 1 home run to help the Hawks top the Eugene Vandals by a score of 16-2. A jubilant Harris told reporters afterward that the experience was "unimaginable."
"Seriously, I would have been happy going 1-for-5 with just the double," he said. "So this feels incredible."
For the day, Harris finished with 4 runs batted in and 3 runs scored to go with his 4 hits.
John Harris flied out in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Roberto Sánchez in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI double in the 5th, walked in the 6th, hit an RBI triple in the 8th and was hit by a pitch in the 9th.
Harris is presently batting .218 with 1 home run, 11 runs scored and 5 RBIs. His OBP is .338.
