Pinches Batters Kennesaw for 5 Hits Friday, May 28th , 2049 It seemed that South Beach center fielder Joey Pinches could do no wrong as the Blaze KO'd the Jets, 8-6 today. Pinches rapped out 5 hits in 5 at-bats and seemed to know which pitches Jets hurlers were throwing. "I think the Blaze were stealing signs," growled one unhappy Kennesaw fan after the game. "I just felt good today. I saw the ball well and just wanted to make good contact and put the ball in play," said the jubilant Pinches in the postgame press interview. Joey Pinches singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, hit a two-run home run off Mei-shio Qin in the 7th and hit a two-run single in the 8th.
