Pinches on a Hot Streak, SA Player of the Week Monday, August 2nd , 2049 Joey Pinches is respected by most South Beach Blaze fans for his no-frills style of play. The 20-year-old center fielder went about his business with vigor last week to grab the USSL Single A Player of the Week honors. He compiled a .350 average (7-for-20) with 3 home runs, 8 RBIs and 5 runs scored. This season Pinches has banged out 72 hits in 268 at-bats for a .269 average with 9 home runs. He is getting on base at a .314 pace and his totals also include 45 RBIs and 38 runs scored. |
