Ortíz, Rodríguez Receive 4-Game Suspensions Sunday, August 1st , 2049 "I don't think I did anything wrong. I think my actions were justified." Those were the words of Kennesaw's José Ortíz after a game between the Jets and Manatees, which featured a benches-clearing fight. The league did not agree, however. Both Ortíz and the Manatees Marcos Rodríguez will be suspended 4 games because of their actions. So far this season Ortíz is hitting .161 with 3 home runs, 18 RBIs and 16 runs scored. He has 36 hits in 224 at-bats and a .192 OBP. Rodríguez has taken the mound for 17 relief appearances this season, nailing down no saves while notching a 3-0 record with a 5.67 ERA. The Matlacha reliever has limited opposing batters to a .255 batting average. |
