Moran Hits 3 Homers Against Pontiac Wednesday, August 12th , 2048 The "hardest feat in sports" debate is a never-ending one with no correct answer, but hitting three home runs is certainly in the conversation. That's exactly what Nick Moran did today at Arryns Ballpark, going deep three times and carrying his team to victory, 8-7. "It all came together. I was seeing the ball well and I got some good pitches to hit," Moran said. "Good things happen, when that happens." The Lake Erie Arryns right fielder blistered the Pontiac Godfathers for 3 hits, batted in 6 runs and scored 3 times. "It ain't like we weren't trying," Pontiac manager Allen Yohemas said. "He was hot and really torched my boys today." Nick Moran grounded out in the 1st, hit a three-run home run off Paul Allen in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Paul Allen in the 4th, struck out in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off Dale Bailey in the 8th. This season Moran is batting .227 with 58 hits and 22 home runs. He has scored 45 times and has 53 RBI. |
