Bartelen Has 33-Game Hitting Streak Tuesday, September 1st , 2048 The number just keeps getting higher. MSL New Orleans third baseman Umberto Bartelen has now extended his hitting string to 33 games. He did it today with 2 hits in 4 at-bats as the MSL New Orleans took the 19-4 win over the MSL Kingston Township Knights at MSL New Orleans Ballpark. "Who knows how long it will go on?" MSL Kingston Township manager Dan Taylor said. "He's certainly tough to pitch to right now." Umberto Bartelen flied out in the 1st, flied out in the 2nd, hit a two-run double in the 4th, walked in the 5th and hit an RBI single in the 5th. Currently Bartelen has 8 home runs and a .497 batting average. |
