Bartelen Stretches Hit String to 25 Sunday, July 5th , 2048 The hot bat of Voodoo third baseman Umberto Bartelen continues to churn out hit after hit, game after game. His consecutive-game hitting streak now numbers 25 games after he went 3-for-5 in today's 5-4 loss to the Northern Lions BC at MSL New Orleans Ballpark. "I'm trying not to think about it much," he said later. "I don't want to mess with whatever zone I'm in." Umberto Bartelen singled in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd, singled in the 6th, flied out in the 7th and singled in the 9th. Bartelen is currently batting .504 with 5 home runs and 47 RBIs. |
