López's Hit Streak Soars to 20 Games Tuesday, September 1st , 2048 Win or lose, Jesús López just keeps on getting base hits -- game after game after game. He picked up 3 more today and has now stretched his hitting streak to 20 games. The MSL Montana Pandas catcher went 3-for-6 today, but it wasn't enough to win the game. His club was defeated 5-4 by the MSL Long Island Lighthouse at MSL Montana Ballpark. "It's amazing to watch him hit right now, but I don't think anybody's really mentioning it," one of his teammates said. "We just don't want to jinx him." Jesús López singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, flied out in the 4th, grounded out in the 6th, flied out in the 8th and singled in the 10th. López is batting .308 this season in 46 games with 1 home run, 32 RBIs and 33 runs scored. He has 64 hits in 208 at-bats. |
