Murillo Stretches Hit String to 20

The MSL Long Island Lighthouse stopped the MSL Echo Park Lakers today 21-12 and Pedro Murillo collected a base hit yet again. The MSL Long Island shortstop finished with 2 hits to run his consecutive-game hitting streak to 20.
"I want to get a hit every time up," a visibly excited Murillo told reporters after the contest. "I want to get a hit every game I play. Right now, I feel like I could take this streak to 100 games." Pedro Murillo flied out in the 1st, grounded out in the 4th, grounded out in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th, hit an RBI single in the 8th, walked in the 9th and struck out in the 9th.
Looking at his present stats, Murillo has compiled a .450 batting average in 45 games with a .508 on-base percentage, while hitting 4 home runs and driving in 54 runs.
