Hot Bat Cooled, Cruz Hitless Against Kingfishers Saturday, August 8th , 2048 MSL Baltimore Bullets shortstop Enrique Cruz finally met his Waterloo. A 20-game hitting spree is now history after Cruz was unable to make anything happen in 4 at-bats today against the MSL Pittsburgh Kingfishers. Fortunately for Cruz and the Bullets, the rest of his team had enough in their bats to win the game 6-4. "We're a true team here," he said. "For 20 games I've been able to contribute, but I always believed these guys would take care of things if I couldn't some day." This year Cruz is hitting .387 with 3 home runs. |
