Hitting Streak Still Alive for Martínez Tuesday, July 14th , 2048 Juan Martínez has been ripping hits every day for a while now, and nobody seems able to stop him. The MSL Pittsburgh second baseman picked up 2 more today against the MSL Colorado Billy Goats and now has a 20-game hitting streak. The Kingfishers won the game 15-7. "Definitely somebody's going to stop me at some point," he said later, chuckling. "I'll enjoy it for the time being." Juan Martínez flied out in the 1st, walked in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, flied out in the 5th, singled in the 7th, grounded out in the 8th and walked in the 9th. In 30 games this season Martínez has compiled a .449 batting average with 62 hits and 3 home runs. He has also scored 28 times and knocked in 31 runs. |
