Top PMSL Reliever Honored Monday, September 14th , 2048 Tong-kyu Ko was a calming influence out of the MSL Athletic Club KC U-18 bullpen this season. His teammates and manager said he had a poised demeanor about him that was typical of someone much older and more experienced. His poise has paid off, as the 17-year-old turned in a sparkling season and has been named the winner of the USPL Mexican Summer League Reliever of the Year Award for 2048. The Geoje, South Korea native won the award with 4 saves in 17 relief appearances, 30 strikeouts in 24.2 innings and a record of 3-1 to go with his 1.82 ERA. He received 10 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Sam van Elswijk of the MSL Vancouver Grey Wolves finished second in voting, while Ángel Salazar of the MSL Athletic Club KC U-18 finished third.
