Hitting Streak Still Alive for Trembath Tuesday, August 18th , 2048 The number just keeps getting higher. MSL Boston left fielder Mark Trembath has now extended his hitting string to 20 games. He did it today with 2 hits in 5 at-bats as the MSL Boston took the 14-3 win over the MSL Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids at MSL Northern Virginia Ballpark. "Who knows how long it will go on?" MSL Northern Virginia manager Jaime Torres said. "He's certainly tough to pitch to right now." Mark Trembath grounded out in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, grounded out in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, walked in the 6th and flied out in the 7th. Looking at his season stats, Trembath has compiled a .390 batting average and a .479 on-base percentage, while hitting 4 home runs and driving in 31 runs. |
