Maine Eliminated from Playoff Contention Monday, August 31st , 2048 It wasn't meant to be for the Maine Sea Dogs this year. Despite a tough battle, they were eliminated from playoff contention today. "It is a bad feeling," said Sea Dogs catcher Ken Houston. "Once you get into the playoffs, anything can happen. But you've gotta get in there first, and we weren't able to do that." The Sea Dogs have missed the playoffs 13 times in their 14 years as a M3L Low A franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 13th in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 2034. |
