Reese's Hit Streak Soars to 20 Games Saturday, July 18th , 2048 Chalk up another one for Canonniers de Quebec second baseman Donnie Reese. He now has hit in 20 straight games. Reese went 1-for-4 today's game at Ducks Park but saw his club defeated 3-1 by the host Long Island Ducks. "Playing on the road always makes it harder to get hits and to get wins," Canonniers de Quebec manager Burton Storey said after the game. "We got one of the two, but unfortunately it was the wrong one." Donnie Reese hit an RBI double in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, struck out in the 6th and flied out in the 9th. For the season Reese is currently batting .319 with 11 home runs and 36 RBIs. In 60 games he has reached base at a .394 rate and scored 42 runs to date. |
