Shady Side Wins SL R Championship Crown Friday, September 11th , 2048 The Shady Side Zoomies pulled out all the stops tonight, winning the SL R Championship in a hard-fought series with the Twinsburg Tigers. It was a seesaw affair, but with a 4-0 victory at Terriers Ballpark, Shady Side lay claim to the franchise's 2nd championship. "There's no denying we faced a tough opponent," said Phil Merrow. "But as the old saying goes, 'when the going gets tough, the tough get going,' and that's what we did today." The champs finished the regular season 59-37 and claimed second place in the Silver Low A. A victory parade is set to be schedule in Shady Side in the days to come. View Boxscore View Game Log |
