Hit Streak Now at 20 for Ynegas Saturday, August 1st , 2048 The Athletic Club KC U-21 fell to the Ladue Rams in Ballpark of Elkhorn City today, even as 19-year-old center fielder Claudio Ynegas upped his consecutive-game hitting streak to 20 games. Ynegas finished with 1 hit in 4 at-bats, but could not stop the U-21 from dropping the 3-1 decision. "Yeah, I kept my streak going, but it would have been better to come away with a win," said Ynegas. Claudio Ynegas singled in the 1st, flied out in the 2nd, walked in the 4th, struck out in the 7th and struck out in the 9th. This year Ynegas is batting .380 with 23 home runs. He has scored 60 runs and driven in 58. |
