Gulf Coast Loses Kliment Rzempiel, Will Miss Season
Saturday, September 5th , 2048
The doctors have spoken and Kliment Rzempiel of the Gulf Coast Turbeaus didn't like what he heard. The 24-year-old reliever is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Rzempiel sustained his season-ending injury during the Northville Eclipse game yesterday at Mobile Home Park. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Gulf Coast medical staff reported Rzempiel had a torn flexor tendon in his elbow and would be absent from the lineup for at least 6 months.
Rzempiel's record so far this season is 1-and-2 with 2 saves and a 3.78 ERA. He has given up 56 hits in 52.1 innings with 20 strikeouts.
