USPL Double A Selects Best Performer Monday, August 24th , 2048 Lee Montgomery burst onto the USPL Double A stage in a big way last week. This promising rookie shortstop for Virginia Beach garnered everyone's respect by putting up some remarkable numbers and picking up the Player of the Week trophy. The 25-year-old haunted opposing pitchers hitting .526 (10-for-19) with 3 home runs and 4 RBIs last week. In 63 games this season Montgomery has compiled a .233 batting average with 54 hits and 9 home runs. He has also scored 29 times and knocked in 29 runs. |
