Ogres Palmer to Miss Year Saturday, August 8th , 2048 Olympia reliever Maurice Palmer could miss the remainder of the season because of radial nerve compression. He exited yesterday's Ft. Polk South game after injuring himself while throwing a pitch. The original diagnosis said Palmer would be out 7 months. Later on his doctors said he could be out even longer. "He's done," his manager commented at the BNN press conference. "It's a season-ending injury, but it could have been worse. It's not the worst-case scenario, so we're happy about that." For the season Palmer is 2-and-1 with 2 saves and a 4.93 ERA. He has given up 43 hits in 45.2 innings with 44 strikeouts. |
