Mi Put in Cooler, Hitless Against Northville Tuesday, July 21st , 2048 The Minnesota Loons lost to the Northville Eclipse 6-1 today at Old-Timers Park, but perhaps the bigger news was the end of Wen Mi's 23-game hitting streak. The left fielder went 0-for-4 on the day. "We felt if we could slow down Mi, we would win the game," Eclipse manager Pedro Ángel explained. "They really seemed to feed off his streak, so we tried to put more emphasis on shutting him down." Thus far this season in 63 games Mi is batting .325 with 19 home runs, 59 RBIs and 41 runs scored. He has 81 hits in 249 at-bats. |
